A "Time Magazine College of the Year", Longview Community College's beautiful campus overlooks Longview Lake. Offering day and night courses to over 6000
students, the campus is modern and heavily invested in technology. Longview is one of the few community colleges in the nation to be named as a New Media Center for
their innovation in application of technology to teaching and learning by the New Media Consortium. In June 2005, they were selected to be one of the 10 community
colleges nationwide that will development a model for the first year of college experience. The project is called the Foundations of Excellence in the First College
Year and is being funded by the Lumina Foundation. Also, Longview's Academic Bridges to Learning Excellence (ABLE) - a program for students with brain injuries or
