Lee's Summit R-7 Schools

The Lee's Summit R-7 School District serves over 16,000 students in its 117 square mile service area. With 16 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, and 3 high schools, rict is one of the fastest growing in the state. Fully accredited through the state of Missouri, the Lee's Summit School District was among just 6 metropolitan -area districts earning Missouri's Distinction in Performance Award this year. Other honors include: Expansion Management Magazine's Gold Medal Award Winner, first school to receive the "Governor's Choice for Excellence" award, and School Match's top award "What Parents Want".

In addition, R-7 School District students' composite 2005 ACT college-entrance exams are among the highest in the metropolitan area at 23.1 (compared to the state average of 21.6 and national average of 20.9). Class of 2005 seniors earned $5.9 million in college scholarship potential with approximately 84 percent of the senior class indicating that they will attend college by requesting that a high school transcript be sent to a college or university.
