LEE'S SUMMIT, MO (July 12, 2010) - Today, Money Magazine announced its 2010 Best Places to Live, and Lee's Summit made the list. The highest rated Missouri city on the Eastern side of the Kansas City metro - Lee's Summit ranks 27 out of the 100 best small cities in the United States, moving up from its 2008 position as number 79.
To be named one of America's 100 best places to live, the city must offer plentiful jobs, excellent schools and affordable housing. "Being named to this prestigious list validates the fact that Lee's Summit is a great place to live, work, play and learn," adds Jim Devine, President and CEO of the Lee's Summit Economic Development Council.
