The Lee’s Summit Economic Development Council announced changes to its Board of Directors today. Todd Haynes will be the Board Chair. Haynes is a Senior Vice President – Financial Advisor with RBC Wealth Management and has been an LSEDC investor since 2012. He takes the place of Tim Paulson, co-CEO of Emery Sapp & Sons, whose term as chair expired on June 30,2021.
“I am excited and honored to become the Chair of the Lee’s Summit Economic Development Council to further help develop and build upon the successes and relationships of past chairs,” said Haynes. “Lee’s Summit is entering an exciting time of unprecedented growth and development that will benefit its residents, companies and investors for many years to come where people can live, work and play.”
Haynes has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He works in a fiduciary capacity with individuals, businesses, business executives, not-for-profit organizations, endowments, and retirement plans advising his clients in all areas of asset and liability management. A resident of Lee’s Summit for more than 20 years, Haynes received his formal education from the University of Missouri – Columbia and Baker University. He is an investor and board member of the Lee’s Summit Economic Development Council, an advisory board member of the St. Luke’s East Hospital Foundation, a member of the Lee’s Summit Rotary Club, a member of the National Association of Eagle Scouts, a member of the fraternal Masonic organization of Summit Lodge 263 in Lee’s Summit, Missouri and a past board member and treasurer of ReStart, Inc., a homeless services organization.

Paulson will remain on the LSEDC Board of Directors as Past Chair. New additions to the Board of Directors include Dr. Laurel Hogue, Vice Provost for Online and Learning Engagement of the University of Central Missouri and Keith Dorrian, Senior Vice President and Partner at A.L. Huber.
Prior to being promoted earlier this year, Hogue served as the Vice Provost for Extended Studies for the university from 2015-2021. She supports the university’s vision for enrollment and retention, leads marketing and promotion efforts, and direct fiscal operations for Extended Studies. Hogue’s duties also include budget planning and resource allocation, conducting cost analyses to ensure revenue-generating operations for distance learning, dual credit, workforce development, study abroad and UCM – Lee’s Summit operations at the Missouri Innovation Campus. She holds a BSBA and an MBA degree from UCM, and a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Dorrian joined A.L. Huber General Contractor as a project manager upon graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management from the University of Central Missouri in 1997. He is responsible for developing new business opportunities, cultivating existing relationships and overseeing the firm’s construction operations with providing project leadership to the firm’s project management teams. Dorrian is also involved in the Kansas City Builders’ Association (Board of Directors), Associated General Contractors KC Chapter (past Board of Directors) and Construction Leadership Council (past Chairman). He is also an active member of the Urban Land Institute and the CCIM organizations. He and his wife Erin are longtime residents of Lee’s Summit, MO.
