Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street uses a comprehensive and balanced approach to revitalization efforts, with an underlying goal of promoting and strengthening the downtown core and preserving its historic character. In 2018, Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street saw public and private Downtown Lee's Summitinvestment of over $1 million in the historic district.

In the summer, you can stay cool at Summit Waves. The family aquatic park features two water slides, a six-lane lap pool, diving boards, an action river and more. For cooler months, Summit Ice provides an 8,000 square foot ice skating rink, complete with a leisure area and fire pits.

Lee’s Summit is home to 1,100 scenic acres of park land spread out over 26 parks. The city’s park system is comprised of 6o miles of greenway/trails, 43 sports fields, 22 playgrounds, two skate parks, a dog park and water park. The fully-accredited, National Gold Medal award winning Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation Department manages three community centers, which Ice Skating at Legacy Parkare visited by more than 400,000 patrons each year.

In addition to the many attractions in Lee’s Summit, the city is conveniently located less than 30 minutes from downtown Kansas City, providing easy access to the Chiefs, Royals, Crown Center, Sprint Center, the Country Club Plaza and more.
