Summit at West Pryor welcomed its first tenants June 1. The new, luxury mixed use multi-family development is part of the Streets of West Pryor development located at I-470 and Pryor Road. Community Manager Paige Cassaday said that the homes have attracted a wide range of tenants from empty nesters to young professionals.

“It’s a very good mix here,” said Cassaday.

Summit at West Pryor offers 237 one- and two-bedroom apartments ranging from 664 to 1,313 square feet. Each apartment has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, air fryer oven, and a washer and dryer. Cassaday said that unlike many apartments, the appliances at the Streets of West Pryor are what you would find in single family residences.

“Those kind of things are all things you don’t normally see in an apartment, even in a luxury apartment community. They’re all just that one step higher. I think that’s our biggest feature,” Cassaday said.

The apartments also boast nine-foot ceilings, eight-foot cabinets, and a modern, neutral decor.

“When you walk into the apartment, the color palette is serene,” said Cassaday.

The community amenities include access to a secure underground parking garage, parcel lockers, storage units, bike storage, a coffee lounge, a game room, a pool, five outdoor kitchens, three fire pits, a fitness center, and a yoga studio.

Residents at the Summit at West Pryor will have access to shops and restaurants steps away from home, including McKeever’s Market where they can buy groceries and prepared foods. The apartments sit atop a row of commercial spaces where PowerLife Yoga, Massage Lux, and Nectar Life Juice Bar are signed on to open soon. The Streets of West Pryor Development is also home to Firebirds Wood Fire Grill, First Watch, Starbucks, and Bibibop, with more restaurants and entertainment to come.

Cassaday said the Lee’s Summit community is also a major selling point for residents.

“You have both worlds. You get the convenience of living in an urban area, but also the great upsides to being in a suburban area as well,” said Cassaday.

Summit at West Pryor is planning a second phase of development to begin in late summer or early fall of 2021. The second phase is expected to add two buildings and 184 units.
